The Price of Chemical Fertilizers is Going Up 35 percent

Liviu Timar, the Managing Director of DADR Mures said that this spring, the cost to set up agricultural lands will be very high, because of the 22 to 35 percent rise in the price of chemical fertilizers.

The price growth regarding complex chemical fertilizers, is 22-35 percent up, in comparison with last year and for the Nitrate Ammonium is even higher.

He also said that because of this increase in the price, the expenses for every hectare of corn, barley or wheat will go up 30-35 percent. The cost for setting up these areas will also be influenced by the Diesel oil, 25 percent more expensive than last year. These increases are alarming and it will automatically lead to a 30 percent growth in the expenses per hectare.
